IgY chicken antibodies - Avian Immunology About Us

About Us

This information is the hardest part of the web page design - trying to explain why researchers should use Avian Immunology for their IgY production.  I have written and rewritten this page.  This version is an attempt to be as straightforward and real as possible.

Over the past 22 years, I have been a research technician at several universities, one company and the USDA.  (It is hard to believe time has gone by so quickly.)  I currently am a part-time technician at Kansas State University.  I feel it is important to let you know that I am one of you.  I know about funding and budgets, and I struggle to find the best prices for supplies to get the research done in our lab.  Through Avian Immunology, I am able to produce polyclonal IgY at a price which benefits researchers and allows me to be a technician to the world (thanks to the web.)

The IgY production method has been submitted and approved by KSU Animal Welfare Committee.  KSU has an excellent poultry facility with a great staff to care for the birds.  Please check out  The Tom Avery Poultry Farm link.

Please contact me about your order.  It is important to me that you feel like I am your technician during your project.
